CSU-Gonzaga Undergoes External Recertification Audit for ISO 9001:2015 Compliance

Cagayan State University–Gonzaga Campus underwent its External Recertification Audit for ISO 9001:2015 on December 9, conducted by external auditors Mr. Richard Bacomo and Ms. Axly Rose Florentino of TUVNORD Philippines, Inc.

The audit officially opened during a program held at CSU-Andrews, attended by university officials, heads of offices, and designated officials from CSU-Gonzaga. In her message, Dr. Theresa Dimalanta, Vice President for Administration and Finance, emphasized the importance of the continual audit process, stating, “This program is not just a formal event but a collective declaration and confirmation that we value efficiency, consistency, and global standards in serving our community while accomplishing our mandate.”

OIC University President Dr. Arthur G. Ibanez also delivered a message highlighting the university’s unwavering commitment to quality. “Quality is more than standard. It is a mindset and a promise, a promise to every student, faculty, staff, and community that we will continuously improve and perform excellently in education, services, and uphold the highest standards in all our processes,” he said.

Following the opening program, the auditors proceeded with the assessment of select offices in the Gonzaga campus, including Top Management, CICS, CA, Campus Information Office, Bids and Awards Committee, Academics, Document Control Office, Admission Office, Records Office, Human Resources Office, and the Instructional Material Development Office.

A feedback session was conducted after the site visits, during which the auditors presented their initial observations and findings. Process owners likewise provided their insights and responses to the shared feedback.

In closing, the CEO of CSU-Gonzaga, Dr. Froilan A. Pacris, Jr., expressed gratitude to the auditors and reaffirmed both his and the university’s commitment to continuous improvement. He emphasized that CSU-Gonzaga remains steadfast in enhancing its services to benefit its clients, partners, and stakeholders.
