Leonard Jake Cabais, a Senior Cartoonist of CSUG’s Paragon, raised the flag of Region 2 and landed as 9th place in Comic Strip Drawing Filipino during the 19th Luzonwide Higher Education Press Conference (LHEPC) held in Villa Caceres Hotel, Naga City on March 19-21, 2024.
Cabais, together with three other journalists of Paragon, represented the region in their respective categories. They were John Austin Viloria in Photojournalism Filipino, Vryan Joshua Reyes in Editorial Writing Filipino and Myca Ortiguez in Poetry Writing Filipino.
The campus’s pride joined other region 2 delegates in competing with six other regions in Luzon and one guest HEI in Visayas.
The journalists from CSU-Gonzaga’s Paragon qualified to the Luzonwide after landing top 5 in their respective journalism categories during the Regional Higher Education Press Conference held in Tuguegarao City last January 2024.
