The Cagayan Valley Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development (CVAARRD) Consortium honored Cagayan State University-Gonzaga for its significant role in advancing innovative research during the 46th Anniversary celebration of the consortium on December 6, 2024, held at the Climate Change R&D Support Facility Hall, Isabela State University.
The recognition highlighted CSU-Gonzaga’s project, Mangrove and Bamboo-Based Agroforestry Research and Development, led by the Project Leader, Dr. Froilan A. Pacris, Jr., as one of the key projects evaluated during the Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development (PCAARRD) 2024 Ugnay Award Field Validation. The project contributed to CVAARRD winning the prestigious First Ugnay Hall of Fame Award presented by PCAARRD.
The celebration, themed “Future Harvests and Sustainable Horizons: Innovating Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources (AANR) to Foster Resilient and Greener Communities,” underscored the consortium’s commitment in advancing resilience and sustainability in agriculture and natural resource management.
