The CSU-Gonzaga workforce and student-leaders joined in celebrating the Internationalization Month of CSU and commemoration of the ASEAN month through a program and parade of ASEAN costumes in front of the campus administration building on December 19, 2022.
Leading the celebration, the Campus Partnership and Resource Mobilization office through its coordinator Dr. Charisma S. Vivit encouraged everyone to embrace differences, recognize uniqueness, and celebrate diversity.
“Let us create an inclusive place for everyone, a sensing environment where every culture is recognized of their importance and value. It is time that we unite as one and go beyond progress and internalization as one,” she reiterated.
Further, Dr. Vivit challenged the youth of today to take pride in their own culture and show respect to the culture of others. According to her, the youth should embrace the diversity in the community and continue celebrating the distinct beauty of everyone’s culture.
“Ang laging itatak sa isipan, lumiliit man ang mundo, may espasyo parin para sa bawat kultura,” she added.
