Cagayan State University–Gonzaga Campus conducted its Year-End Assessment and Celebration on December 18 at the campus gymnasium, gathering faculty and staff to reflect on the year’s achievements and challenges. The activity was attended by CSU Officer-in-Charge University President Dr. Arthur G. Ibanez and was inspired by the theme “Connect, Commit, and Celebrate.”
The event also marked the celebration of Dr. Froilan A. Pacris, Jr.’s eight years of service as Campus Executive Officer of CSU–Gonzaga. In his message, Dr. Pacris commended the different committee members for the successful preparation and execution of the day’s 4-in-1 activities, noting the impressive stage design and hall setup that added to the festive atmosphere.
Dr. Pacris expressed his appreciation to the faculty and staff by sharing the gift packs and raffle prizes prepared for them, which generated excitement among the participants. He also reflected on the many challenges faced by the campus throughout the year—from natural calamities to demanding campus and university-wide activities, emphasizing that the Tangkiran spirit of resilience, cooperation, and unity enabled CSU–Gonzaga to overcome every obstacle.
In a heartfelt moment, the CEO reflected on his leadership journey and humbly asked forgiveness from those who may have been hurt by his words, actions, or manner of speaking, clarifying that it was never his intention to cause harm. He also asked for understanding during times when he demanded more from the workforce, explaining that his emphasis on results and outcomes was driven by his desire for the campus to meet and exceed its targets.
Looking ahead, Dr. Pacris shared that results, impact, and outcomes will remain his top priorities in the coming year. He expressed optimism that 2026 will be a great year for CSU–Gonzaga, noting that through cooperation and collective effort—and by remaining resilient like bamboo—the campus will achieve its goals. He also acknowledged the contributions of past administrations and university leaders in laying the foundation for the campus’s continued success.
One of the highlights of the celebration was the presentation of the CEO’s Accomplishment Report, which showcased the campus's milestones and progress. This was followed by lively performances from the six colleges, as well as presentations from the office force and field force, which brought cheer and energy to the event. Special pakulos, a raffle draw, and gift-giving capped the celebration, making the year-end assessment both meaningful and memorable for the CSU–Gonzaga community.
