On July 7, 2025, Cagayan State University–Gonzaga warmly opened its gates to welcome a new generation of freshmen, returning students, and transferees as they officially began their academic journey for the 2025–2026 academic year.

During Salubong 2025, a meaningful gathering was held at the campus open grounds, where the CSU-Gonzaga community came together to celebrate this significant milestone. The event was marked by a heartfelt welcome message delivered by Ms. Mary Mae Baclig, Campus Administrative Officer V, on behalf of the Campus Executive Officer. Faculty, staff, and students were present to share in the moment of excitement and hope.

The day began with a flag-raising ceremony, featuring faculty members in their ASEAN-inspired attire, symbolizing unity and cultural pride. Students from across year levels gathered in solidarity to witness the start of a new academic year.

The highlight of the day was the symbolic entrance of freshmen students, who marched from the campus gate to the open grounds, proudly representing their respective colleges with color-coded flags and shirts. Each group was guided to their designated area, where they joined the rest of the student body in a unity dance.

The program was organized by the Campus Student Council, under the leadership of Ms. Natalia Galicia, CSC President, ensuring a warm and memorable welcome for all new and returning students.

The event concluded with a traditional photo opportunity, capturing the smiles and enthusiasm of the CSU-Gonzaga community as they look forward to a year filled with growth, learning, and shared experiences.

Indeed, as one chapter ends, a new journey begins—filled with promise, purpose, and pride in being part of the CSU-Gonzaga family.
