The Local Chief Executive of Gonzaga, Honorable Marilyn S. Pentecostes, graced the first day of Campus Intramurals in CSU-Gonzaga on November 9 as Inducting Officer and Guest Speaker.

Hon. Pentecostes expressed her felicitation to the studentry and employees of the campus for withstanding steadfastly the challenges of the pandemic and are now trailblazing to a new era for excellence.
As partners of the Municipal government in making its goals possible, the mayor addressed the newly sworn officers of specialized clubs and the workforce of CSU reiterating their roles as instruments in creating a brighter future for the youth.

“My dear leaders, the studentry placed their thrust and confidence in you that is why you are also obliged to reciprocate it with a dedicated, right and equal service to them by leading and guiding your school fellows in a CSUan way of leadership.

“To the teaching and non-teaching workforce of CSU-Gonzaga, you contribute a lot to the continuous development of the quality of education here in Gonzaga and in providing the right guidance to our learners. With your efforts to continuously deliver excellent teaching and services despite the trials of the pandemic, the torch of higher education remains burning.”

The Mayor likewise commended CSU for continuously producing competent and professional Gonzaganians and Cagayanos who are now contributors to economic progress.

Before she concluded her speech, the Mayor gave an early Christmas present to the College of Agriculture for their initiative and creativity manifested during the opening program. Other college also received a gift from the mayor.

All sang a Christmas thank you song to the Honorable Mayor for her generosity.
