CSU-Gonzaga received Best Paper awards during CSU RDE In-House Review and Evaluation 2022

CSU-Gonzaga received Best Paper awards during the recently concluded CSU Research, Development and Extension In-House Review and Evaluation on October 4, 2022 at the Claude Andrews Convention Center, CSU-Andrews campus, Tuguegarao City.

Among the nine campuses of CSU that presented their completed research and extension outputs along Experimental, Technological, Social and Development/Extension categories, CSU-Gonzaga were awarded:

1st Best Paper for Experimental category on the Research Paper entitled, “Production and Utilization of ‘Bamcoal’: Bamboo-Based Fertilizer and Evaluation of Its Plant-Soil-Nutrient Profile, Photosynthetic and Growth Effects, and Salinity Stress Alleviation in Lowland Variety of Head Lettuce.”

3rd Best Paper for Experimental category on the Research Paper entitled, “The Influence of Different Ages of Suckers in the Survival of Tiger Grass (Thysanoleana maxima) under Bamboo Phase I.”

2nd Best Paper for Extension and Development category on the Extension project entitled, “The Bamboo Sanctuary of Northern Luzon: An Integrated RDE Program for Bamboo through Ecotourism.”

The agency In-House Review is an annual undertaking of the university to subject all RDE projects and programs to second level appraisal by external evaluators to ensure the quality of outputs prior to their presentation to a wider audience, publication to referred journals and any action that shall greatly benefit their intended beneficiaries.

The three best papers in each category shall represent Cagayan State University in the Cagayan Valley Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development (CVAARRD) conference.
