Cagayan State University-Gonzaga joined in the simultaneous university-wide celebration of CSU's 47th founding anniversary last June 9 with a festive campus activity that put the limelight on its employees' dedication and excellence through an awarding ceremony.

The one-day celebration welcomed campus officials, faculty members, administrative staff and students in a demonstration of unity and pride for CSU's tradition of academic service. The core of the event was the awarding of excellent employees and offices—a tribute to those who have exceeded expectations in serving the university. Recipients were awarded for their professionalism, dedication, and outstanding contributions to CSU-Gonzaga's success.
During his keynote speech, Campus Executive Officer Dr. Froilan A. Pacris, Jr. reminisced his seven-year tenure as the campus head, citing profound appreciation to the community for its continued support. He passionately presented how the campus has been transformed from within based on the principles of unity, strength, and common purpose.

The achievement we honor today does not belong to me alone, it is ours. It is the harvest of our cooperation and unity," he said. "May the spirit of Tangkiran continue to live in all of you.”

The word "Tangkiran," which was invented during his term, reflects the campus's strength—such as the bamboo that yields but does not break. Dr. Pacris urged everyone to take this attitude with them in every adversity they encounter and in every triumph they reach.

Adding to the official program, the celebration also included motorcade that was paraded around the Gonzaga streets and cheered by residents. The event was preceded by a flag-raising ceremony within the campus. The morning concluded with a team-building event that united the faculty, staff in exciting, interactive games meant to improve camaraderie and teamwork.

As CSU-Gonzaga faces the future, the 47th founding anniversary is a witness to the resilience of its people, the strength of its values, and its continuing mission of "Educating for the Best."
