The Region 02 Karatedo Men’s Team secured a bronze medal in the Team Kumite Competition during the 2025 State Colleges and Universities Athletic Association (SCUAA) Games held at Camiguin Polytechnic State College, Mambajao, Camiguin Island from April 22 to 27.
The bronze-medal finish was a collective effort of athletes from various state universities in Region 02, including three representatives from Cagayan State University-Gonzaga:
Mark Paul C. Butac
Zaldy Jr. V. Borquillo
Christopher B. Tesoro
All three are students from the College of Criminal Justice Education.
They were joined by team members from other CSU campuses and ISU-Cauayan:

Clydenn Jude C. Ubias – CSU-Carig
Ke-im Plata – ISU-Cauayan
