The College of Agriculture at Cagayan State University (CSU) Gonzaga celebrated the success of its 2024 Licensure Examination for Agriculturists passers with a testimonial program held at the MABRIC conference hall on December 4, 2024. The event recognized the dedication and achievements of the 10 successful examinees and honored their parents, teachers, and the university community for their unwavering support.

The program was graced by the university officials, including the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Mariden V. Cauilan; Dr. Loraine S. Tattao, Director for Student Development and Welfare; and Engr. Roger Rumpon, University Dean of the College of Agriculture and CEO of the CSU-Carig campus.
In his opening remarks, CEO Dr. Froilan A. Pacris Jr. celebrated the passers' achievement, emphasizing the shared pride of parents, teachers, and the institution. “This is your achievement, but for us parents and teachers, you are our achievements. This is not the end but a new chapter in your life. I encourage you to act as professionals and carry the name of your school with pride," he stated. Dr. Pacris also highlighted plans to strengthen academic and review programs to further support Agriculture students in future board examinations.

Dr. Rumpon also delivered an inspiring message, urging the new professionals to honor their parents' sacrifices and strive to give back to their country. “Passing the board is just the beginning. As professionals, you must aim to be the best you can be and bring pride to your university,” he encouraged.

VP Dr. Cauilan also shared the university's commitment in supporting students through improved resources for board examination preparation, including online and blended review modes. She commended the parents, faculty, and campus leaders for their collective efforts and challenged the College of Agriculture to aim for even better results in the future.

Parents of the passers, Mrs. Aurora Lorenzo and Mrs. Edna Agonoy, expressed their gratitude to the faculty and administration for their guidance and support. They shared their experiences of witnessing their children’s perseverance during the challenging preparation period.

Two passers, Jessa Barcena and Niel Agonoy, shared emotional testimonials. Barcena attributed her success to her faith in God, saying, “Through God’s intervention, nothing is impossible.” Meanwhile, Agonoy reflected on his journey from seeking scholarships to fulfilling his dream of becoming a licensed agriculturist. “Every milestone begins with a single step,” he said, emphasizing the importance of perseverance and faith.

The event concluded with the awarding of certificates and tokens to the passers, followed by a photo opportunity with their parents and faculty members, symbolizing the culmination of their shared journey.
