CSUG CHM ranks 2nd runner-up in the 2024 Intercampus Skills Olympics

Once again, the College of Hospitality Management of CSU-Gonzaga proved their competence after garnering an over-all rank of 2nd runner-up among 5 competing CSU campuses during the Intercampus Skills Olympics held on May 20-21, 2024 at CSU Aparri campus.
The students and faculty members of the college performed exemplary in the different contested activities which truly made the campus proud.

In virtual tour guiding, the college placed champion with Christel Ocampo as representative. She was coached by Dr. Khayle Agluba. The college likewise championed the travel blogging contest with its representative Jenelyn Barcena and she was coached by Dr. Clyden Charl Alibania.

The college likewise got 1st place in market basket competition with the representative James Brian Patubo and his coach Prof. Rhea Yagin. The college also placed 2nd in cake decoration with the representatives Ace Baylon and Rea Cataggatan and their coach Dr. Khayle Agluba. They are also 2nd runner-up in events creation with the participants- Jastin Serrano, Francis Pagud, Dhiferson Lee Castillo, Ferdinand Solima, Raffy Pailano and Joanne Pescador and their coach Prof. Richard Siccuan.

The college likewise got 3rd in waiters relay with its participants- Crystel Anne Mariz Ugalde, Crystel Agbayani, Julie Mae Llamelo, Aiko Faye Asuncion, Genesis Arda, Ryan Sapla, Prince Jaime Francia and Marcial Duyao with their coach Prof. Richard Siccuan; the team was also 3rd in tour package proposal with their participants- Irish Joy Montezon and Jayrome Siboc with their coach Dr. Khayle Agluba; they were also 3rd in Quiz Bowl with the participants- Shane Aaron Cruzado, Donna Grace Rodriguez and Anne Yambao with their coach Prof. Shiena Marie Gaño.

The college also garnered 3rd place in travel vlogging with the participants- Jomary Marcos and Gian Ace Baylon with their coach Dr. Clyden Charl Alibania. The team was also 3rd in flairtending singles with their participant Maykel Tadioan with his coach Prof. Rhea Yagin.
Further, the college got 4th place in coffee concoction with the participants- Aiza Mae Marantan and Mark Anthony Renon with their coach Prof. Rhea Yagin. The college also placed 4th in flairtending doubles with its participants- Yves Belen and Ivan Sagucio with their coach Prof. Rhea Yagin. The college also placed 4th in flight attendant with the participants- Precious Bascos, Danica Cañete and Lyka Barcena with their coach Prof. Rinette Gumarang. The college likewise placed 4th in bed make-up with their participants- Chosen Dela Cruz with her coach Prof. Jaenexy Seguirre.

In the festival dance, the college place 4th and in the search for CHM ambassador and ambassadress, John Mike Argel got 1st runner-up and Francine Seguritan got 2nd runner-up. Other contestants in the pageant were Christel Ocampo and Prince Jaime Babas
Prof. Shiena Gano, the Dean of CHM, expressed her gratitude to the faculty members and students for their untiring support and active participation to the different competitions despite the limited time of preparation. She also thanked the CEO of the campus, Dr. Froilan Pacris, Jr., for his guidance and support to the college.
