Prof. Josie Y. Bas-Ong, the University Director for Extension and TVET led the Focus Group Discussion (FGD) with Program Leader, Program Staff and Beneficiaries on the project, 'Science and Technology Community-Based Farm for Sustainable Lowland Vegetable Production in Cagayan Province,' a DOST-PCAARRD and CSU joint project. This was held last February 07, 2023 at Cagayan State University Gonzaga CICS conference hall.
The aim of the program is to promote wider and sustainable adoption of S&T Community- Based, safe and quality lowland vegetable production technologies to increase productivity and profitability among lowland vegetable growing communities in Cagayan province.
After the FGD, Director Bas-ong met the Campus Extension Coordinator, Dr. Romar Banadero and the College Extension Coordinators to tackle different topics for extension in preparation for the upcoming SUC levelling in 2024.
