Explore CSU-Gonzaga’s Balai Tangkiran at Sarabo Village, located within the CSU-Aparri Campus.

The fare is open from June 2 to June 11 — don’t miss this exciting experience!

As CSU-Gonzaga’s official entry to Sarabo 2025 for the 47th Founding Anniversary of Cagayan State University, we proudly present Balai Tangkiran—a structure that embodies our campus’ niche product: bamboo. It stands as a symbol of Gonzaganians’ resilience and strength.

Balai Tangkiran features traditional Filipino architecture, crafted entirely from locally sourced, renewable bamboo. Measuring 5m x 10m, the booth is supported by six sturdy bamboo corner posts and topped with a pitched bamboo roof that ensures both stability and protection from the elements. Its open front area enhances visibility and invites visitors to engage freely with its diverse offerings.

This hub is a model of green innovation, representing CSU-Gonzaga’s commitment to climate action, community development, and sustainable livelihoods.
At the heart of the Tangkiran Hub is a curated selection of locally developed, sustainable, and innovative products:

1. Bamcoal – A clean-burning, eco-friendly charcoal alternative made from bamboo.
2. Tissue Culture Banana – High-quality, disease-resistant banana plantlets developed through biotechnology.
3. Pineapple Vinegar – Naturally fermented and rich in flavor, made from fresh pineapples.
4. Flavored Nipa Vinegar – A traditional Filipino vinegar enhanced with modern flavor infusions.
5. Nipakuratsa – A unique local delicacy combining vinegar, chili, and other native ingredients.
6. Chili-Pineapple Paste – A flavorful, spicy-sweet condiment perfect for cooking or dipping.
7. Mabric Condiments – Locally branded sauces and pastes highlighting indigenous flavors.
8. Bamboo Seedlings – Young, ready-to-plant bamboo propagules that support reforestation and agroforestry.
9. Bamboo Furniture – Handcrafted, elegant, and sustainable furnishings made by local artisans.
10. Bamboo Handicrafts – Functional and creative crafts that showcase local artistry and bamboo’s versatility.
