ICFES delegates visit CSUG RD&E projects, Sta. Ana tourist spots

In support to the Cagayan State University Gonzaga's advocacy to rehabilitate the mangrove areas in Cagayan, the delegates of the International Conference on Food Security and Environmental Sustainability sponsored by CSU visited today, October 18, 2019, the mangrove restoration site in Brgy. Caroan, Gonzaga, Cagayan and the site for the establishment and protection of nipa stands for bioethanol production in San Vicente, Sta. Ana. Cagayan.

To make the visit more significant, the delegates planted mangrove seedlings along the mangrove restoration area in Brgy. Caroan.

The delegates were also treated to a challenging trip to some of the tourist destinations in Sta. Ana, Cagayan. The CSU Gonzaga team brought the group to Buwakag Falls where they survived the thrill of trekking to the four chambers of Buwakag. The group also got the chance to visit Nangaramoan beach and Pozorobo beach where they enjoyed the site of the South China Sea and the Pacific Ocean respectively.

The delegates are research enthusiasts from USA, Canada, Indonesia, Myanmar, Vietnam, Laos and the different parts of the country.
