After undergoing the selection process in the campus level, three undergraduate research students were chosen to present their thesis results in the University’s Search for the Best Undergraduate Thesis last June 20, 2024 at the CSU Andrews campus.
Researches were categorized in three: Social, technological and experimental researches. In the social category, the study from the College of Criminal Justice Education entitled, ‘Disaster Preparedness of Cagayan State University- Gonzaga,’ was chosen. The researchers were Jay A. Corpuz, Raeza Joy P. Miranda, Klie Jhon Paul Sabug and Shara Jane P. Tabunan. They were mentored by Dr. Emily P. Garcia.
In the technological category, the study from the College of Information and Computing Sciences entitled, ‘Web-Based Reservation and Management System for Nature Spring Resort,’ was selected. The researchers were Lorie Fhel Ramento and Dhel Marx Dancel Taberlo. They were mentored by Dr. Dorothy Ayuyang.
On the other hand, in the experimental category, the study from the College of Agriculture entitled, ‘Growth and Yield Performance of Lettuce (Lactuca sativa L.) Using Different Nutrient Solutions in Aeroponics Method,’ was chosen. The researcher was Jhon Paul Zamora and he was mentored by Engr. Rexie Guillermo.
Despite not getting to the top 3 spots in the university level, the researchers from Gonzaga remained enthusiastic to pursue researchers in various areas in order to contribute to societal development.
