Three academic programs of Cagayan State University-Gonzaga underwent a virtual mock accreditation conducted by the university’s internal accreditors on September 10. The programs assessed were the Bachelor of Hospitality Management, Bachelor of Accounting and Information Systems, and Bachelor of Information Technology.

The activity was organized to gauge the campus’s readiness for the upcoming Level III Accreditation by the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP), scheduled on September 24–26.

The campus’s CEO, Dr. Froilan A. Pacris, Jr., through his Chief of Staff, Mrs. Mary May Baclig, conveyed a message of encouragement and support to the Campus Accreditation Task Force. He praised their dedication and reminded them of the true essence of the exercise.

“This mock accreditation is not to test but to guide us for the official accreditation process ahead, allowing us to identify our strengths and, most importantly, pinpoint areas where we need to improve,” Dr. Pacris emphasized.

During the mock evaluation, internal accreditors carefully reviewed the documents and evidence prepared by the task force teams. They presented their observations, engaged in discussions with the teams, and provided recommendations along with a checklist of items that require improvement or inclusion.

Looking forward to the actual accreditation, Dr. Glyzelda Gonzales, Campus Academics and Quality Assurance Coordinator, expressed confidence that with cooperation, commitment, and resilience, the campus can achieve a satisfactory outcome.
