Editorial writers of Paragon, the student publication of CSU-Gonzaga reaped awards during the recently concluded University-Wide Press Conference on February 23-24 held in the campus. The winnings of the team were:
1st place Editorial Writing English – Scott Louie Pasion (Senior Editor-In-Chief)
1st place Photojournalist Filipino – John Austin Viloria (Photojournalist)
1st place News Writing Filipino – Vryan Joshua Reyes (News Editor)
2nd place News Writing English - Scott Louie Pasion (Senior Editor-In-Chief)
4th place Literary Writing Filipino – Myca Ortiguez (Development Communication Editor)
5th place Column Writing English – Jhon Lloyd Cabais (Associate Editor)
5th place Copy Reading and Headline Writing English – Pamela Saturno (Junior Editor-In-Chief)
5th place Development Communication Filipino – April Mae Garcia (News Editor)
Further, Ms. Pamela Saturno, the Junior EIC was elected Press Information Officer of the organization of student-journalists of the university.
Other participants in the two-day event were Mark Christian Artis, Snooky Javier, Rykiel Polipol, Nathalia Galicha, Marjory Carbonel, Liezel Valle, Kriszelle Anne Gonzales, and Angelika Agramon.
Advisers and coaches were Dr. Louraine Chriscelle Seguritan and Prof. Edison Villena. Other invited coaches during the training were Mr. Michael Crisostomo, Mr. Marino Crisostomo, Ms. Katrina Samortin and Mr. Mark John Rapanan. They were former staff of the Paragon.
