Bamboo is one of the niche products of CSU-Gonzaga. The Campus Research and Extension office continuously propagates species of Bamboo which are utilized in the campus's programs for environmental protection and likewise for commercialization.
Today, November 15, a total of 4,650 Bamboo propagules were delivered to the Municipalities of Enrile, Solana, Amulung and Tuao in collaboration with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP). The propagules shall be planted in areas prone to erosion and flooding.
The species of Bamboo hauled were Bayog, Machiku, Yellow Kiling, Tinik and Green Kiling Bamboo.
