The College of Criminal Justice Education (CCJE) of Cagayan State University–Gonzaga, in partnership with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region 2, conducted the Anti-Drug Abuse Campaign 2026 on June 23 at the MABRIC Conference Hall to strengthen students\' awareness of the dangers of illegal drugs and promote a drug-free academic community.\r\n\r\nThe campaign gathered all first-year students and was supported by CCJE faculty members, the Office of Student Development and Welfare (OSDW), and the Campus Student Council and its adviser, emphasizing the commitment of the university to foster a safe, healthy, and responsible learning environment.\r\n\r\nMr. Renante C. Rosero, MDM, CAO, Acting Chief of the Preventive Education, Community Involvement, and Information Section of PDEA Region 2, served as the resource speaker. He discussed the harmful effects of illegal drugs on individuals, families, and communities, as well as the government\'s preventive education initiatives and the vital role of the youth in sustaining drug-free campuses and communities.\r\n\r\nRosero also encouraged students to become advocates of responsible decision-making, emphasizing that awareness, vigilance, and active participation are essential in preventing substance abuse and supporting national anti-drug efforts.\r\n\r\nThe activity forms part of CSU-Gonzaga\'s continuing partnership with PDEA Region 2 to enhance preventive education and ensure that students and employees remain informed about the provisions of the country\'s anti-drug laws, the consequences of illegal drug use, and the importance of maintaining a drug-free university environment.\r\n\r\nPhotos: CCJESC Documenter
