DOT Region 02 Conducts Filipino Brand of Service Excellence Seminar at CSU-Gonzaga

The Department of Tourism (DOT) Region 02 introduced the Filipino Brand of Service Excellence (FBSE) Seminar to the students and faculty members of the College of Hospitality Management of Cagayan State University-Gonzaga on April 14–15 at the MABRIC Conference Hall.

The FBSE Seminar is a flagship national program of the Department of Tourism aimed at instilling and strengthening a culture of service excellence among future professionals. The initiative is anchored on the promotion of positive Filipino values essential to tourism stakeholders and frontliners, including tourism and hospitality management students.

Representing the Campus Executive Officer of CSU-Gonzaga, Dr. Khayle G. Agluba, Dean of the College of Hospitality Management, formally opened the gathering. In her message, she expressed gratitude to DOT Region 02 for bringing the program to the campus and emphasized its significance in equipping students with the skills and values needed in their chosen profession.

Mr. Jundel John Cabanela, Municipal Tourism Officer of Gonzaga, also delivered a message on behalf of the Local Chief Executive Hon. Rellie Dalmaceda. He conveyed the full support of the local government unit of Gonzaga to various tourism development programs and projects that promote growth and opportunities in the municipality.

The event was further highlighted by the presence of Dr. Troy Alexander Miano, DOT Regional Director, who shared words of encouragement and inspiration to all hospitality management students as future contributors to the tourism industry.

The two-day seminar was facilitated by FBSE Regional Trainer Dr. Gretchen A. Jallorina, who guided participants through discussions and activities focused on the principles of service excellence, professionalism, and Filipino hospitality.
