The Planning Office of Cagayan State University-Gonzaga spearheaded a training-workshop titled “Training on Strategic Indicator Mapping: Aligning Work and Financial Plans for Targeted Employee Support Indicators” held at the Administration Conference Hall on April 11.

The activity brought together heads of various offices to enhance strategic planning and performance monitoring within the campus. Key topics discussed included an overview of SWOT analysis with insights from ISO feedback, mapping Work and Financial Plan (WFP) Programs, Activities, and Projects (PAPs) into measurable targets, a workshop on crafting WFPs, and the formulation of SMART support function indicators aligned with institutional goals.

Dr. Froilan A. Pacris, Jr., CEO of CSU-Gonzaga, commended the Planning Office for initiating the training, emphasizing its vital role in helping office heads create realistic and measurable plans. “This initiative will further guide our leaders in ensuring that their plans, programs, and activities are attainable,” he said. He also urged the participants to complete their Gantt charts or action plans for the year, noting the importance of timely monitoring and achievement of PPAs (Programs, Projects, and Activities).

Mr. Jun Clifford Mape, Head of the Planning Office, also encouraged the participants to focus not on the volume of reports to be completed, but on the nobility of each step they take as dedicated public servants of the university.

The event culminated in the presentation of each office’s WFPs, followed by a critique session aimed at refining the outputs and ensuring alignment with the university’s strategic objectives.
