The College of Criminal Justice Education of CSU-Gonzaga obtained a School Performance of 57.14% higher than the National Passing Rate of 48.27% as shown in the result of the February 2024 Criminologists Licensure Examination (CLE) released by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) on March 6, 2024.

Based from the result, the college has now produced twenty (20) new Registered Criminologists.

When asked about the challenge encountered by the college in monitoring the group, Prof. Ohlie Malazzab, the present dean of the college shared that it is difficult to monitor the students whenever they intend to review outside. He made a stand to revive one of the best practices of the college in preparation for the board exam, and that is to conduct review inside the campus or the in-house review.
Ms. Kelly Garcia, a Cum laude graduate of the college and now a board passer in the CLE, expressed her gladness to her Alma Mater and to her teachers in college for the learnings and guidance extended.

She likewise encouraged those who did not make it in this year’s board examination to not lose hope and to keep on trying.

The Criminologists Board Examination is divided into 6 areas: Criminal Jurisprudence and Procedure, Crime Detection and Investigation, Law Enforcement Administration, Forensic Science Area, Correctional Administration and Criminal Sociology.
