To promote sustainable sericulture practices and strengthen academic collaboration, Cagayan State University-Gonzaga conducted a two-day Training on Mulberry Production and Awareness of Silkworm Production in partnership with the Don Mariano Marcos State University–Sericulture Research and Development Institute (DMMMSU-SRDI). The activity was held on October 29–30, at the Bambusa sp. Conference Hall, MABRIC Building.
The training brought together faculty members from the College of Agriculture, Agriculture Extension students, and local farmers from Barangay Sta. Maria, Gonzaga, as part of CSU-G’s continuing initiative to enhance knowledge and skills in mulberry cultivation and silk production.
As part of the collaboration, the DMMSU-SRDI team conducted monitoring activities at the CSU-Gonzaga Mulberry Production site and facilitated a series of lectures and hands-on demonstrations. Mr. Mario B. Sampaga led the session on Mulberry Production, sharing practical insights on propagation and cultivation techniques. Meanwhile, Ms. Maricris E.
