Cagayan State University-Gonzaga campus underwent an external audit on October 16-17, 2024, to assess its continued compliance with the ISO 9001:2015 standard for quality management systems. The audit, led by Ms. Lyn M. Cayetano, concluded with no significant non-conformities identified, signaling that the campus’s management system remains in good standing.

During the debriefing held at the administration conference hall, Ms. Cayetano reported that only minor points for improvement were noted, based on evidence, interview and observation conducted from the College of Business Entrepreneurship and Accountancy (CBEA), the College of Hospitality Management (CHM), and other offices, including the Office of the Campus Executive Officer.

The audit emphasized the need for traceable evidence in support of academic and administrative processes, from syllabus development to grade reporting. Strengths observed included the use of flashcards to monitor student performance and attendance, as well as CHM’s maintained faculty requirements. The auditor also provided recommendations to construct action plans to address climate change issues and improve processes further.
Dr. Froilan A. Pacris, Jr., Campus Executive Officer of the Gonzaga campus, expressed his gratitude to the process owners for their hard work, pledging his full support in addressing the identified improvement and implement opportunities. Ms. Cayetano also reminded all offices to adopt the recommendations, ahead of a more comprehensive follow-up audit of all offices next year.

The successful audit marks a step forward in CSU-Gonzaga's commitment in maintaining high-quality education and administrative standards.
