CSUG students bag 2nd Runner-Up in 2nd Provincial Tourism Skills Olympics

The Cagayan State University Gonzaga students represented the entire CSU system in the 2nd Provincial Tourism Skills Olympics. They secured the 2nd Runner-Up rank in the Market Basket Competition, showcasing the skill, creativity, and teamwork of students in the field of hospitality and tourism.
The event, held on September 30, 2025, brought together universities and colleges offering Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management (BSHM) and Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management (BSTM) programs across the province, providing a platform for students to showcase their competence and excellence in various industry-related competitions.

The CSU Gonzaga team was composed of Jastin Andy R. Serrano, Mark Jhonsen D. Agapinay, and Jodea Ashly Orendain, under the guidance of their coach, Ms. Rhea Divina B. Yagin.

Dr. Shiena Marie Gano, Dean of the College of Hospitality Management, expressed her heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Froilan A. Pacris, Jr., Chief Executive Officer of CSU Gonzaga, for his unwavering support, as well as to the entire CHM family in Gonzaga for their collective effort and collaboration with other CSU campuses offering BSHM.

“This achievement is a reflection of our students’ dedication, the guidance of their mentors, and the strong partnership among CSU campuses in promoting excellence in hospitality and tourism education,” Dr. Gano remarked
