With excitement and joy, the CEO of the Gonzaga campus, Dr. Froilan A. Pacris, Jr., shared in his message during the opening program of the Campus Intramural Meet, that Intramurals is the time when the spirit of competition, camaraderie, and sportsmanship come together to create an unforgettable experience for all.
The CEO likewise addressed all contenders not to be fixated in winning or get upset in losing.
“To all participants, whether you're a seasoned athlete or a first-time contender, remember that today is not just about winning or losing. It's about the passion, the drive, and the sheer joy of engaging in healthy competition.”
“Sports bring people together. It transcends barriers, forges friendships, and teaches us valuable life lessons. As we step onto the field, the court, or any other arena of play, let's keep in mind the values that make sports a powerful force in our lives - teamwork, discipline, perseverance, and respect," the CEO added.
The CEO also encouraged everyone to support each other no matter what the result of the games may be.
“Win or lose, let's celebrate the effort, the dedication, and the sheer love for the game. Support your fellow athletes and performers, applaud their achievements, and remember that today is not just a competition; it's a celebration of our collective spirit,” he said.
Concluding his message, the CEO expressed his gratitude to the Sports and Socio officers, all student organizations, committee heads and members, partner agencies (LGU, PNP, MHO, BFP, MDRRMO), employees and students for all the hard work and commitment in making the 2023 Campus Intramurals realized.
