Three agriculture students and one faculty member from Cagayan State University–Gonzaga represented the campus at the 1st Nationwide Agri-Youth Congress 2025, held on October 28–29, at Holiday Inn, Malvar, Lipa City, Batangas.
The national event, sponsored by the Agricultural Training Institute – International Training Center on Pig Husbandry (ATI–ITCPH), brought together agriculture and veterinary students from various State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) across the country. It featured academic competitions, research sharing, and experiential learning sessions to cultivate innovation and leadership among youth in the agricultural sector.
Representing CSU-Gonzaga in the Agri Quiz Bee were Honeylet Cabael (BSA 4), Jan Norwin Sajor (BSA 4), and Mark Christian Artis (BSA 4), with Mrs. Lyle Sumer, faculty member from the College of Agriculture, serving as their coach. The team earned 19th place among 36 participating schools nationwide.
The 1st Nationwide Agri-Youth Congress 2025 served as a platform to empower young agriculturists to shape the future of Philippine agriculture through knowledge exchange, research, and collaboration.
