Cagayan State University–Gonzaga joined the nationwide observance of National Pulmonary Rehabilitation Day on June 17 with a wellness activity highlighting the importance of physical fitness and respiratory health among its personnel.

Spearheaded by Campus Health Officer Ms. Claryhs Pabalan and the Gender and Development Coordinator Ms. Rizzalou Garma, the activity brought together administrative personnel, faculty members, and students for a Zumba session held in front of the administrative building.

Participants included CSU-Gonzaga Chief Executive Officer Dr. Froilan A. Pacris, Jr., who joined the event despite his busy schedule. His presence highlighted his leadership’s commitment to promoting health and wellness in the workplace.

In an interview, Ms. Pabalan emphasized the significance of pulmonary rehabilitation and regular physical activity in maintaining physical well-being, particularly among working professionals. Through initiatives like this, participants were encouraged to adopt healthier habits and become more aware of the importance of respiratory health.

Through initiatives that promote active living and health awareness, CSU-Gonzaga continues to champion the well-being of its personnel while contributing to the broader goal of building healthier, more resilient communities.
