CSU-Gonzaga Holds Orientation Program for New and Transferee Students for AY 2026–2027

Cagayan State University–Gonzaga Campus conducted its General Orientation Program for new and transferee students on June 24 at the Campus Gymnasium, providing them with essential information and guidance as they begin Academic Year 2026–2027.rnThe activity, spearheaded by the Campus Guidance Office under the leadership of Ms. Cathy Rodriguez, aimed to familiarize students with the university’s services, programs, personnel, and expectations, thereby helping them transition successfully into college life.rnrnIn recorded messages aired during the program, University President Dr. Arthur G. Ibanez and Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Mariden V. Cauilan welcomed the students and expressed their gratitude for choosing CSU as their academic home. They encouraged the freshmen and transferees to take advantage of the opportunities available within the university and assured them of the institution’s commitment to supporting their educational and personal growth.rnrnDr. Glyzelda Gonzales, Campus Academic and Quality Assurance Coordinator, also addressed the students, emphasizing the importance of excellence, respect, and discipline as they navigate a new chapter in their academic journey. She reminded them that college life demands greater responsibility and urged them to uphold values that will contribute to their success both inside and outside the university.rnrnMeanwhile, Campus Executive Officer Dr. Froilan A. Pacris, Jr. warmly welcomed the new students and highlighted the vital role of the university’s pillars of education in shaping future professionals and responsible citizens. He identified these pillars as the administration and policymakers, faculty members, administrative and support personnel, and the students themselves.rnrnAccording to Dr. Pacris, administrators provide leadership and direction, faculty members serve as sources of knowledge and values formation, while administrative and support staff ensure the efficient delivery of campus services. He described students as the “pillars of promise,” emphasizing that they are at the center of the university’s mission and the reason why all sectors of the institution work together.rnrnHe also encouraged students to become familiar with the university’s officials, offices, and services and to learn from the examples set by the members of the campus community. Dr. Pacris likewise expressed his appreciation to all university personnel for their continued dedication and service to the institution.rnrnThe orientation concluded with the presentation of campus officials, administrative personnel, faculty members from the different colleges, and officers of the Campus Student Council, allowing students to become acquainted with the individuals who will support them throughout their academic journey at CSU-Gonzaga.rnrnMeanwhile, the Campus Student Welfare and Development Office announced that a more comprehensive orientation on student services, programs, organizations, and campus clubs will be conducted separately in each college.
