To ensure the quality, relevance, and impact of research and extension projects proposed and implemented in campus, the university consultant and former President of CSU, Dr. Urdujah Alvarado, together with CSU Vice President for Research, Development, and Extension, Dr. Junel B. Guzman, Director for KTM, Dr. Gilbert Magulod, and Director for Extension, Dr. Josie Bas-ong, chaired the 2025 Campus In-house Review at CSU-Gonzaga on February 10.

In her message, Dr. Alvarado emphasized the importance of collaborating on RDE projects and initiatives with government and non-government agencies for potential funding opportunities. According to her, securing supportive benefactors significantly eases the process of project implementation.

VP Guzman echoed Dr. Alvarado’s remarks, encouraging researchers to actively seek partnerships with various agencies to facilitate research execution. She also urged attendees to pursue projects and studies that are meaningful, impactful, and aligned with societal needs.

During this year’s first in-house review, various completed, ongoing, and proposed research projects in social, experimental, technology, and extension initiatives were presented and evaluated by the attending officials.
The review served as a platform for constructive discussions, allowing researchers to refine their studies based on expert feedback. Dr. Magulod emphasized the significance of innovation-driven research, while Dr. Bas-ong underscored the vital role of extension projects in addressing community needs.

With the valuable insights gained, faculty and researchers are expected to enhance their projects, ensuring they contribute meaningfully to academic advancement and societal development.
