CSU-Gonzaga Recognized as Region 02's Top-Performing Criminology School Category C

The College of Criminal Justice Education (CCJE) of Cagayan State University-Gonzaga Campus was recognized by the Philippine Criminologists Association of the Philippines (PCAP) Region 02 as the 1st Top-Performing School in Category C – Cagayan Chapter for its performance in the February 2026 Board Licensure Examination for Criminologists (BLEC).

The recognition was based on the campus' 89.83% passing rate in the February 2026 BLEC. The award was received by the Dean of the College of Criminal Justice Education, Dr. Ohlie E. Malazzab, during the Mass Oath-Taking Ceremony of New Criminologists and Induction of New PCAP Members held on May 9, 2026, at the Cagayan Sports Coliseum in Tuguegarao City.

In addition, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) and the Professional Regulatory Board of Criminology recognized Cagayan State University-Gonzaga for its outstanding performance in the February 2026 Licensure Examination for Criminologists. The campus was cited for having 51 to 100 examinees with a passing percentage of at least 80 percent, placing it among the top-performing schools.

In an interview, Dr. Malazzab attributed the achievement to the collective efforts of the campus community. He expressed his gratitude to the Campus Executive Officer, Dr. Froilan A. Pacris, Jr., for his continued guidance and support to the college. He also acknowledged the dedication of the CCJE faculty members in preparing students for the licensure examination, the parents and guardians for their trust and support, and the stakeholders and benefactors who contributed to the college's success.
