CSU-Gonzaga employees join townspeople of Gonzaga in the Annual Fiesta

Celebrating with the townspeople of Gonzaga the Annual Fiesta, faculty members and personnel attended the parade to open the festivity on August 14, 2024.

The presence of leaders and employees of the different government and non-government agencies parading in the streets of población proves how Gonzaga continuous to shine through the years as what this year’s theme says, ‘Gonzaga, Agtalinaedka a Narimat.’ The energy of the majorettes, drummers and lyrists from the elementary schools added life, color and music to the opening of fiesta.

CSU-Gonzaga employees wearing their Bamboo Sanctuary shirt were likewise in full force every fiesta.

In the night of August 15, educators of Gonzaga united for a night of spectacular talent and prowess. Dr. Jay Omotoy, the Dean of the College of Business Entrepreneurship and Accountancy, represented CEO Dr. Froilan A. Pacric, Jr., and shared an opening message of collaboration and teamwork.
“We all understand that education extends beyond the walls of our classrooms and involves the collective effort of every member of our community. It is through our combined strengths, shared goals, and mutual support that we truly make a difference in the lives of our students and the community at large,” Dr. Omotoy, said.

Further, the first ever look-a-like contest was held during the Educators’ Night. Mr. Edison Villena, a faculty member of the College of Teacher Education, represented CSU-Gonzaga. He brought home 2nd place with his celebrity inspiration look-a-like, Lady Gaga.

Gonzaganians always look forward to the celebration of town fiesta because this is the time to celebrate the successes and achievements of the town in the past years. It also symbolizes unity, harmony, and the coming together of communities.
