CSU-Gonzaga kicked off the new academic year with a grand ‘Salubong’ to its students and employees on August 19 at the campus open ground.
According to the Registrar, the campus has recorded a total enrollee of 2,456 for the first semester of the academic year 2024-2025. From the total population, the College of Hospitality Management registers the highest enrollment of 586. This was followed by the College of Information and Computing Sciences with 417 enrollees.
The College of Agriculture, on the other hand, has a total enrollee of 158; the Diploma in Agriculture Technology has 137 enrollees; the College of Teacher Education has a total of 356 enrollees; the College of Business, Entrepreneurship and Accountancy has an enrollee of 428 and the College of Criminal Justice Education has an enrollee of 374.
From the data, there was an increase of enrollees from the first semester of the previous academic year with a total of 2,282.
Meanwhile, Dr. Froilan A. Pacris, Jr., the CEO of the campus, thanked the students for choosing CSU to be their second home for their tertiary education journey. The CEO reiterated that the university not only aims to bring them closer to their dreams, but also to equip them with quality and excellent education and services they deserve.
Further, a showcase of talents by the Indayog Performing Arts Dance Troupe made the salubong warmer and more colorful. Deans were also given their well-deserved grand entrance and moment. Later in the program, all CSU-Gonzaga populace together danced to the ‘Tatak CSU’ song with Mr. Jun Clifford Mape and Mr. Jerome Sabug, leading.
The ‘Salubong’ 2024 was organized by the Campus Student Council headed by the President, Ms. Jovelyn Abinoja.
