Officials of Bauertek Pharmaceutical Technologies Corporation visited Cagayan State University–Gonzaga on June 26 to monitor the progress of the campus's Turmeric Tissue Culture Laboratory and Nursery, a key component of its collaborative project on turmeric planting material production.
The delegation was welcomed by Campus Executive Officer Dr. Froilan A. Pacris Jr. and Dean of the College of Agriculture and Project Study Leader Dr. Jayrome Butay, who briefed the visitors on the project's current developments and ongoing activities.
The monitoring visit forms part of the continuing partnership with the Bauertek Pharmaceutical Technologies Corporation, Department of Science and Technology, and Cagayan State University under the Tissue Culture Turmeric Planting Materials Production Project, established through a memorandum of agreement signed by both institutions.
During the visit, the team assessed the laboratory and nursery operations, monitored the progress of tissue-cultured turmeric planting materials, and discussed strategies to further strengthen project implementation and ensure that established objectives and quality standards are achieved.
