To reinforce a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and innovation, members of the Cagayan State University-Gonzaga Campus faculty and administrative personnel gathered for a Mid-Year Review, Internal Audit Planning, and Benchmarking activity held from July 31 to August 3, 2025, in Calamba, Laguna.
The event aimed to assess the campus’s performance in the first half of the year, align operational goals with strategic objectives, and explore innovative practices in agricultural research and development through benchmarking initiatives.

Heads of various colleges and units presented their accomplishments during the review, including the overall Campus Mid-Year Report delivered by Mrs. Mary May Baclig, Campus Chief of Staff, on behalf of the Campus Executive Officer. Dr. Jay Omotoy led the orientation on the Internal Quality Audit Plan, equipping participants with a clearer understanding of audit procedures and campus compliance. Mrs. Baclig also presented the “Ways Forward” outlining strategies to sustain and elevate campus performance moving into the second semester.

Culminating the program, the team visited the Institute of Plant Breeding (IPB) at the University of the Philippines, Los Baños (UPLB) for a benchmarking activity. The visit showcased IPB’s advancements in crop improvement and varietal development, particularly their use of biotechnology tools and tissue culture techniques, offering valuable insights that can inform CSU-Gonzaga’s future research and extension programs.

Beyond the technical goals, the event also served as a venue for team building and employee fellowship. Through shared activities and meaningful interactions, the program aimed to strengthen camaraderie, foster collaboration, and promote a more unified and motivated workforce in pursuit of CSU-Gonzaga’s academic and institutional mission.
