With excitement and cheer, the officials of the campus headed by the Campus Executive Officer, Dr. Froilan A. Pacris, Jr., attended the parade and the opening ceremonies held on June 11, 2024 at the Red Eagle gymnasium at CSU-Carig campus. The celebration was likewise graced by Dr. Mario Ascueta, an alumnus of CSU-Gonzaga. He was invited as one of the speakers in the CSU Talk Show.
In the parade, the creativity of the tangkiran employees were exhibited. The design of the CSUG float was inspired by the campus niche product- Bamboo and the established Mangrove and Bamboo Innovation Center (MABRIC). The campus iconic bird which is the Cardinal was also featured in the float. The characteristics of a cardinal symbolize the colorful experiences and the cheerfulness of the employees in Gonzaga.
On the other hand, the faculty members and administrative staff in the campus were also united in commemorating the birth of the beloved university.
Through the collaboration of the employees of the campus, the Tangkiran booth was likewise built. Here, various products of the campus are displayed and sold which include Bamboo seedlings, bamboo charcoal, other bamboo products, lakatan seedlings, potting mix, pineapple and nipa vinegar, golden rice among others. These products are available to all until June 14, 2024.
