Administrative personnel of Cagayan State University –Gonzaga posted the DPO/DPS Registration Seal in front of all frontline offices on March 16, signifying the CSU’s official compliance with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 registration requirements, as certified by the National Privacy Commission.
The display of the seal indicates that CSU-Gonzaga has fulfilled key requirements under the law. These include the registration of its Data Protection Officer (DPO) and data processing systems, the adoption of data protection policies and security measures, and the alignment of institutional operations with national data privacy standards. The university has also established accountability mechanisms to ensure the proper handling of personal data.
The certification serves as proof of lawful compliance, affirming that the university meets the minimum legal requirements for collecting, processing, storing, and safeguarding personal information. It further recognizes CSU as an institution adhering to established data privacy and protection standards.
