Students and employees of Cagayan State University–Gonzaga actively participated in the Gonzaga Blood Drive 2025 held on October 22, 2025, at the Gampao Gymnasium.
The event was spearheaded by the Rural Health Unit (RHU) of Gonzaga, under the leadership of Municipal Health Officer, Dr. Freedley S. Sapla, in partnership with the Philippine Red Cross and the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Gonzaga. The activity aimed to encourage voluntary blood donation and promote community involvement in sustaining a safe and sufficient blood supply.
Moreover, Campus Nurse of CSU-Gonzaga, Mrs. Claryhs Anne Pabalan, shared that the campus consistently participates in blood-letting activities organized in the municipality. According to her, this reflects the campus’s unwavering commitment to serve and extend help to those in need.
Health professionals from the RHU facilitated medical screenings and assisted donors throughout the process to ensure safety and comfort. Many participants expressed that donating blood gave them a sense of fulfillment, knowing that their small act could help save lives.
The Gonzaga Blood Drive 2025 concluded successfully, collecting several units of blood that will benefit patients across the province.
