Cagayan State University–Gonzaga Campus recorded an 89.83% passing rate in the February 2026 Criminologists Licensure Examination, exceeding the national passing rate of 66%.
Based on the results released by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) on March 13, 53 out of 59 examinees from the campus passed the licensure examination.
Of the passers, 49 out of 53 first-time takers passed, resulting in a 92.45% passing rate among first takers. Meanwhile, four of six repeaters passed, for a 66.67% passing rate.
Dr. Ohlie Malazzab, Dean of the College of Criminal Justice Education, acknowledged the support of the Chief Executive Officer of the campus in implementing the college’s academic plans and student-related activities. He also recognized the contribution of the College Review Coordinator, Dr. Jomel Pinera, and the faculty members of the college for their role in preparing the graduates during their four years of study in the university.
Prior to the examination, the college conducted a send-off program on January 26 for the board examinees. The activity was initiated by the CCJE Student Government, headed by Governor Ms. Carlene Odasco. The send-off program was organized to encourage the examinees and further strengthen their preparation for the licensure examination by offering this important event to the Lord.
During the program, the invited speaker, Ptr. Jayson Repollo delivered a message highlighting the importance of the licensure examination for the examinees and encouraged them to prepare and perform to the best of their ability and offer their best for the glory of the Almighty.
The result placed CSU-Gonzaga’s overall passing rate above the national average for the February 2026 Criminologists Licensure Examination.
