Creating opportunities for commercialization and showcasing of CSU-Gonzaga products to the community, Dr. Charisma Vivit, the campus Partnership and Resource Mobilization Coordinator, attended the Legislative Session today, November 7, 2022, and discussed before the Sangguniang Bayan Members and the Vice Mayor of Gonzaga, Hon. Jessie Gaspar, a Memorandum of Agreement between LGU-Gonzaga and CSU relative to the display of products of CSU-Gonzaga at the Pasalubong Center. The agreement was duly approved by the body after thorough discussion of the details and future plans.
Some of the products of the campus that are ready for commercialization are the Pineapple Vinegar, DOST assisted products like Bubble Donuts, Tangimas, Mushroom, Bougainvillea, Bio-Organic Fertilizer, and Bamboo Seedlings. Products made out of Bamboo Shoot, Dragon fruit and Pineapple are currently developed and shall also be showcased.
During the session, Dr. Vivit mentioned about the plans of the campus to share and commercialize its products, not only to local folks, but also to international export opportunities.
Also, Dr. Vivit presented to the body a MOA in the conduct of Job Fair opportunities for alumni and graduating students of CSU. This shall be discussed further during their next session. The partnership shall contribute further in creating more employment opportunities to many of CSU graduates.
